Moccasin Grove

Moccasin Grove

Moccasin Grove was established in 2021 by husband and wife, Ryan and Lizz Bass. The farm is located in Tallahassee, Florida down a long dirt road.

Ryan had some wild idea that he wanted to start a strawberry U-PICK farm on the family land. He had enough experience with farming and tractor work from working on his step-dad and mom’s farm, so why the heck not give it a try!?

We are into year 5 (2026) of strawberry farming and have learned so much along the way. Not to mention we have met so many folks that come to visit our farm, and purchase produce from us at the Tallahassee Farmers Market.

With roughly 30 acres of farm land, Moccasin Grove has about 600 peach trees (three varieties), in the spring we farm a few acres of the freshest vegetables around (sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, onions etc.), we have planted over 40,000 strawberry plants, along with a plot of U-PICK flowers, and last but not least in the fall we have a U-PICK pumpkin patch!

We get asked often if we see snakes (due to the name ‘Moccasin’), but we actually named our farm Moccasin Grove because the farm is located off of Moccasin Gap rd., and we have a grove of peach trees and citrus trees!

Our goal is to both work full time on the farm to create a living for our family of 6 and do what we enjoy together!

We hope to see you at the farm!
